Terms of Service

1. Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of makemind.dev ("Service"), operated by Makemind Ecosystem, Inc ("Company"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account using Google OAuth, GitHub OAuth, or email/password via Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Paid Plans and Products

The Service offers recurring subscription plans and one-time digital purchases. The current price of every plan and product is shown on our pricing and membership pages and again at checkout before you confirm payment; prices are not restated in these Terms so that the published price remains the single source of truth.

  • Free — Access to free-tier articles and community features
  • Developer — Full access to Build and Field articles and code samples
  • Sponsor — All Developer content plus exclusive Horizon deep-dives and priority support

The Shop additionally offers one-time purchases of digital goods (PDF guides, ZIP templates, and bundles), delivered electronically.

4. Payment

Subscription plans and Shop purchases are billed by us; we issue your receipt and invoice. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges at the then-current rate shown at checkout until you cancel; one-time Shop purchases are charged once. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.

Where you use the Services to sell to your own customers, that sale is between you and them. We are not the seller and not a party to it — we connect the payment and record what happened. You set your prices, your policies and your refunds, and you carry the obligations to your customers, including tax.

Advertising and other business partnerships are not sold through the online checkout — they are arranged separately and billed by invoice.

5. Digital Content

All articles, code samples, downloads, and digital products available through the Service are digital content. Access to tier-gated content is granted based on your active subscription level.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free tier.

7. Intellectual Property

All content published on makemind.dev, including articles, images, code samples, and design documents, is the property of Makemind Ecosystem, Inc or its contributors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

Sponsored content is the intellectual property of the respective advertiser and is clearly marked with a "Sponsored" badge.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials or subscription access with others
  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically download content from the Service
  • Circumvent tier-based access controls
  • Submit misleading or harmful content through the community contribution features

9. Community Contributions

Content submitted through the Contribute page ("Maker's Voice") is subject to editorial review. By submitting content, you grant Makemind Ecosystem, Inc a non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish, edit, and distribute your submission on the Service.

10. Advertising

Advertisers are responsible for ensuring their submitted content (banners, sponsored columns) complies with applicable laws and does not contain misleading claims. Makemind Ecosystem, Inc reserves the right to reject or remove any advertising content.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Makemind Ecosystem, Inc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
