The week that closes March. Gathering a month together to look at it, you finally see that the three threads flowing separately were in fact the same river. The picture that didn't show while putting out each piece one by one grows distinct once four weeks stack up.

Three threads became one sentence. This month, three things flowed side by side — person (Han Mi-jeong's 80%), machine (the foundation of the SCPI instrument), field (the grading tool she made herself). Seen separately, they scatter into a teacher's story, an equipment story, a case story. Lay the month over itself, and they become the same single sentence — the foundation is already there; just add one axis. Both people and machines already held the 80%, and what was missing was always just one axis called the screen. Whether the starting point was a classroom or a lab, the sentence they arrived at was one.
The 20% wakes the 80%. This month's arithmetic is a little strange. Filling the missing 20% (the screen) wakes the whole sleeping 80% (expertise, data, function). Han Mi-jeong's 12 years of experience and the instrument's measuring power were both locked away before the one axis of a screen was laid on. The small 20% was in fact the lock that held the large 80% shut. That's why "just one axis," small as it looks, is by no means small. The final span was the switch that turns everything on.
Proof ends and habit begins. If January and February said "this works," and March said "so now it's your turn," what remains now is doing it. The magazine is only the entrance; the walking is the reader's work. March closes as the month that lowered that threshold the most of the whole year. From here on it's not reading but writing.

This week's note is about the universality of laying on. Throughout the month, one thing kept repeating — teacher or engineer, person or machine, the "laying on" action was always the same. Foundations run thick and differ each from each, but the way of laying a single screen onto them with a definition is just one. This universality is the true core of the platform. You don't learn a new, different tool per domain; you apply one laying-on the same way everywhere. Learn it once, and in the next domain there's nothing to learn again.
A Short Thought
All month we spoke of "it's already there." Paradoxically, the hardest thing to make is not what wasn't there but recognizing what was there without your knowing. The eye that sees the 80% within yourself as an asset. Once that eye opens, the rest is merely laying on. What March really tried to change may have been not the tools but that eye. Tools only assist; the one who sees first makes first.
